Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has permanently banned five dismissed students from entering the university’s campus, citing concerns about security and the need to maintain discipline within the institution.

The directive affects Bernard Boadi, Francis Tutu Atuahene, John Kelvin Kane, Roland Botwe Nsiah, and Felix Acquah. According to the university, the five individuals were dismissed in 2025 but have allegedly continued to frequent the campus despite no longer being recognized as students.

In a statement issued on Friday, March 13 by the University Relations Office and signed by Deputy Registrar Daniel Norris Bekoe, the university said the individuals have been involved in activities that disrupt the peace and orderly functioning of the institution.

University authorities noted that the directive strictly prohibits the dismissed students from entering or remaining anywhere within the university premises.

Management explained that the decision forms part of broader measures aimed at safeguarding the safety of students, staff, and visitors while ensuring the smooth running of academic and administrative activities.

The university further warned that any attempt by the affected individuals to breach the directive will result in legal consequences.

KNUST reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing its regulations and maintaining a safe and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.

The move highlights the university’s determination to uphold discipline and protect the integrity of one of Ghana’s leading higher education institutions.
