Chelsea FC Charged by FA Over 74 Historical Rule Violations

Chelsea FC has been formally charged by The Football Association (FA) for violating multiple regulatory standards.

The charges—totaling 74—cover alleged breaches of rules related to football agents, intermediaries, and third-party investments in players. These infractions span from 2009 to 2022, with most incidents occurring between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons. The club has until 19 September 2025 to submit its official response.

Chelsea FC’s Response

The new ownership identified discrepancies in historical financial reporting during due diligence and promptly reported them to relevant authorities, including the FA.
