GES Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Letter Circulating on Social Media

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong warning to the public about a fake recruitment letter currently circulating online. The fraudulent document falsely claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff across Ghana.

In an official statement released on September 21, 2025, GES clarified that the letter is not authentic and did not originate from the service. Management emphasized that no official recruitment exercise has been announced, urging the public to disregard the document entirely.

According to GES, any legitimate recruitment process will only be communicated through its official channels and those of the Ministry of Education. The service also urged job seekers and the general public to remain vigilant and to report fraudulent activities connected to the fake letter.

The statement, signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, highlighted the service’s commitment to protecting citizens from scams targeting desperate job seekers.

GES concluded by calling on all Ghanaians to treat the circulating letter with the seriousness it deserves—by dismissing it as a hoax and avoiding any engagement with individuals presenting it as genuine.

Key Takeaway for Job Seekers:

  • No official GES recruitment 2025 has been announced.
  • Always rely on the official GES website and Ministry of Education platforms for recruitment updates.
  • Beware of fake job offers and scams targeting job seekers on social media.
