Harold Agyeman, the Coordinating Director for Political and Economic Affairs, confirmed that the government facilitated Asamoah’s return to Ghana under direct instructions from the sector minister.
“Government is very much conscious and strongly committed to protecting our nationals abroad… Emmanuel Asamoah has been relocated to Ghana to ensure that he is in a safe space,” he stated.
Authorities also indicated that Ghana remains in active communication with South African officials to address the situation and prevent further occurrences.
