The Ministry of the Interior has announced new dates for applicants who were unable to complete the Centralised E-Recruitment Portal Aptitude Test due to technical difficulties.
In a public notice, the Ministry acknowledged that a number of Category C applicants holding WASSCE certificates encountered challenges while submitting their aptitude tests online. According to officials, the technical bottleneck affected a segment of candidates and required swift intervention to ensure fairness and transparency in the ongoing 2025/26 security services recruitment exercise.
New Aptitude Test Dates Announced
To address the issue, the Ministry has scheduled a staggered mop-up exercise from Saturday, February 21, 2026, to Friday, February 28, 2026. The revised timetable is structured around the various security agencies under the Ministry’s supervision.
- Applicants to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) will retake their aptitude tests from February 21 to February 23, 2026.
- Candidates seeking enlistment into the Ghana Police Service are scheduled for February 24 and February 25, 2026.
- The exercise will conclude with applicants to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Ghana Prisons Service, who will access the portal from February 26 to February 28, 2026.
Additionally, a general mop-up session covering all categories (A to C) will be held from Sunday, March 1 to Monday, March 2, 2026.
Results Release Date and Important Notice
The Ministry indicated that successful results from the aptitude test will be published on March 4, 2026. Affected applicants are expected to receive SMS notifications with detailed instructions on how to log back into the portal and complete their assessments within the newly scheduled window.
However, officials clarified that approximately 82 per cent of applicants who have already successfully completed the aptitude test will not be permitted to access the portal during the extension period. This measure is intended to prevent system congestion and ensure smooth processing for affected candidates.
Ensuring Fairness in the Recruitment Process
The Ministry emphasized that the rescheduling forms part of its commitment to maintaining integrity, fairness, and equal opportunity in the 2025/26 security services recruitment drive.
Applicants are advised to strictly adhere to the new dates and monitor official communication channels for further updates.
