Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has been laid to rest with full state honours at the Military Cemetery in Accra. The solemn burial ceremony, held on Friday, November 28, 2025, followed a national funeral service earlier at the Independence Square.

Her casket, draped in the Ghanaian national flag, was interred at the National Memorial Section of the cemetery, resting beside the grave of former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Military pallbearers led the dignified procession from Independence Square, where prayers, scripture readings and tributes marked her final journey.

Nana Konadu, Ghana’s longest-serving First Lady, passed away on October 23, 2025, after a short illness.
