The 2025 Feok Festival has been successfully launched in Fumbisi, marking the beginning of activities leading to the grand celebration slated for December 19, 2025. The colorful event brought together traditional authorities, political leaders, and people from all corners of Buluk to reaffirm their unity, identity, and shared heritage.

The launch, eloquently emceed by John Apaabey, was held under the distinguished patronage of the Paramount Chief of Buluk, Nab Azagsuk Azantinlow II, who graced the occasion alongside several chiefs, sub-chiefs, and queen mothers from across the Builsa traditional area.

In attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Builsa North, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Builsa South, and other notable political figures who came to show their support for the cultural event.

This year’s Feok Festival is being celebrated under the theme, “Justice, Heritage, and Reparations: Honoring the Resilience of the Bulsa People and People of African Descent.” The theme underscores the enduring spirit of the Bulsa people, their fight for justice, and their connection to the broader struggles and triumphs of African descendants worldwide.

In his keynote address, Nab Azagsuk Azantinlow II reminded the people of Buluk of the sacrifices made by their ancestors, recounting how the Builsa bravely resisted slave raiders and how their forefathers fought with distinction during World War II. He emphasized the need for unity and continued pride in Bulsa identity, urging the youth to cherish and uphold the legacy of their forebears.

Speakers at the event, including the Chairman of the Occasion, echoed the festival’s theme and called for the preservation of Bulsa culture, justice for marginalized communities, and a renewed commitment to community development and peace.

The Feok Festival, one of Northern Ghana’s most significant traditional events, celebrates the victory of the Bulsa people over slave raiders and honors the resilience, bravery, and cultural heritage of the community. It has evolved into a unifying platform for the people of Buluk, both at home and abroad, to reconnect, celebrate, and promote tourism and development in the region.

The grand celebration, scheduled for December 19, 2025, promises to be a historic event. It will feature rich displays of Bulsa tradition, music, dance, and cultural performances. The occasion will have His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, as the Special Guest of Honour.

As anticipation builds, the people of Buluk and well-wishers across Ghana and beyond look forward to a memorable Feok Festival that not only honors the past but also inspires hope for the future.
