The Builsa Feok Festival Travel & Tour is set to organise the Buli Quiz Competition 2026, bringing together primary school pupils from the Builsa South and Builsa North Districts in an academic contest aimed at promoting the preservation and use of the Buli language.
The competition, scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, will take place at the Sandema Youth Leadership Training Institute Dining Hall, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Under the theme, “Foster Buli Language and Healthy Academic Competition Among Primary School Students in Buluk,” the initiative seeks to combine academic excellence with cultural education by encouraging young learners to deepen their knowledge of the Buli language, history and traditions.
Promoting Buli language and cultural identity
According to the organisers, the quiz is intended to serve as more than an academic competition. It is part of efforts to ensure that younger generations develop a strong connection with their linguistic and cultural heritage.
The organisers believe that creating opportunities for children to learn and compete in Buli can help strengthen the use of the language among young people while increasing their knowledge of the history and cultural practices of the Builsa people.
With participating schools expected to come from both Builsa South and Builsa North, the competition will also provide a platform for pupils from different communities to interact, learn from one another and build healthy academic relationships.
Encouraging academic competition
The organisers say the competition will promote healthy academic rivalry among primary school pupils, giving participants an opportunity to test their knowledge while developing confidence, teamwork, critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
Academic competitions of this nature can also encourage pupils to take greater interest in subjects and topics relating to their own communities, particularly when local language, history and culture form an important part of the competition.
The Buli Quiz Competition therefore has the potential to become an important annual platform for nurturing young academic talents while simultaneously promoting cultural preservation in Buluk.
