Today, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) proudly commemorates the 44th Anniversary of the 31st December Revolution, a pivotal moment in Ghana’s history that reshaped the nation’s political and social trajectory.
As party members, supporters, and citizens gather in Ada to mark this historic occasion, we reflect on the enduring values that defined the Revolution: people-centered governance, social justice, accountability, and national renewal. These principles remain the bedrock of our political philosophy and continue to guide our vision for a stronger, fairer Ghana.
The 31st December Revolution was not merely a change in leadership, it was a transformative movement that sought to restore dignity, equity, and opportunity to the Ghanaian people. Over four decades later, its legacy lives on in our collective pursuit of inclusive development, transparent governance, and national unity.
Speaking at the commemorative event in Ada, party leaders emphasized the importance of consolidating the gains made over the years. They called on all Ghanaians to recommit to the ideals of the Revolution and to work together in building a nation where every citizen has a voice and a stake in the future.
As we honor this anniversary, we also look ahead—with hope, determination, and a renewed sense of purpose. The journey toward a just and prosperous Ghana continues, and the spirit of the 31st December Revolution remains as relevant today as it was in 1981.
Long live the 31st December Revolution. Long live Ghana.
