Head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has unveiled a 24-man squad for Ghana’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali scheduled for next month.
The squad features key regulars such as Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Antoine Semenyo, and Inaki Williams, while also introducing fresh faces to bolster the team.
New Call-Ups and Returns
- Derrick Arthur Köhn: The Union Berlin left-back earns his first-ever Black Stars call-up after an impressive loan spell at Werder Bremen, where he registered 27 appearances and scored 2 goals in the German Bundesliga. The 26-year-old joined Union Berlin from Galatasaray this summer.
- Kamal Deen Sulemana: The winger, who recently transferred from Southampton to Atalanta in Serie A, returns to the squad after a promising start in Italy.
- Elisha Owusu: The France-based midfielder makes a comeback following recovery from a long-term injury.
- Caleb Yirenkyi: The FC Nordsjaelland youngster, who stood out during the Unity Cup in London, gets his first competitive senior call-up.
- Tariq Lamptey: The Brighton defender returns to the squad after missing recent fixtures.

The Black Stars currently sit top of Group I in the African qualifiers with 15 points, having won five matches and lost just once in six games. With strong momentum, Ghana is looking to edge closer to sealing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
