The race to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is heating up, with 17 countries already punching their tickets to the global tournament.
Morocco became Africa’s first confirmed qualifier after a commanding 5–0 victory over Niger Republic on Friday. The Atlas Lions have dominated Group E, winning all six of their matches to collect a perfect 15 points—securing qualification with two games still to play. After their historic run to the semi-finals in Qatar 2022, Morocco will be aiming to make an even bigger impact next year.
Joining them are several South American powerhouses. Uruguay, Colombia, and Paraguay clinched their spots following Thursday’s penultimate round of qualifiers, adding to the continent’s already qualified trio: Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador.
The three host nations—United States, Mexico, and Canada—have automatically qualified, while Asia and Oceania will be represented by Japan, South Korea, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Australia, and New Zealand.
With more spots still up for grabs, the final lineup promises to be a thrilling mix of footballing giants and rising contenders.
