Chelsea have reportedly shifted their stance on Nicolas Jackson’s proposed move to Bayern Munich, now willing to sanction the transfer, but only if it’s permanent.
The Senegalese striker had flown to Munich to finalize a season-long loan deal, which included a €15m fee and a €65m option to buy. However, the move hit a snag after Chelsea striker Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury, prompting the club to revoke Jackson’s medical clearance and demand his return to London.
Despite the setback, Jackson and his agent Ali Barat remain in Munich, determined to salvage the deal. Talks are ongoing, with Jackson reportedly frustrated by Chelsea’s sudden U-turn. His agent even posted a defiant message on Instagram: “The plane doesn’t reverse,” signaling their intent to push forward. Bayern Munich’s sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the club had reached an agreement but acknowledged that without signed documents, the deal remains in limbo.
With just hours left in the transfer window, all eyes are on whether Bayern will make a permanent offer to secure Jackson’s signature.
