In a bold statement on his X account, Franklin Cudjoe, Founding President of IMANI Africa, has called out the current leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he describes as a failure to confront corruption within its ranks.
“The current leadership of NPP party should just give us the list of all their members who have looted our resources and encourage absconders to return to face the law. Enough of the conferences,” Cudjoe posted.
His remarks come amid growing public frustration over the lack of prosecutions and transparency following multiple corruption allegations involving state resources. Cudjoe’s post has reignited calls for the NPP to move beyond political rhetoric and take concrete steps toward accountability.
The IMANI Africa president has previously criticized the party for mishandling foreign direct investment and fostering nepotistic governance structures. His latest comments add to a chorus of voices demanding that political parties—especially those in power—demonstrate integrity by naming officials implicated in financial misconduct and ensuring they face justice.
Cudjoe’s statement has been widely shared, with many Ghanaians echoing his call for action and expressing fatigue over what they see as performative political gatherings that yield no real reform.
