The University of Ghana (UG) has announced a revised start date for course registration for undergraduate students entering the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to a notice issued by the Academic Affairs Directorate, course registration will now officially commence on Monday, December 15, 2025, earlier than the date previously communicated to students.
The notice, signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, encouraged students to take advantage of the earlier start to ensure a smooth registration process.
“We encourage students to take advantage of this earlier start to secure their courses and complete registration promptly,” the statement said.
Registration Deadlines Remain Unchanged
While the registration start date has been adjusted, the university clarified that registration deadlines remain unchanged for all categories of students.
Students are advised to refer to the official University of Ghana academic calendar, available online, for full details on timelines and academic activities.

Random Bed Allocation Dates Announced
In addition, the University of Ghana announced tentative dates for random bed allocation for regular students:
- Continuing students: Monday, December 29, 2025
- Level 100 students: Monday, January 12, 2026
The university emphasized that timely course registration is a key requirement for students who wish to participate in the random bed allocation process.
