Ghana Police Assures Medically Fit Applicants as Recruitment Validation Continues

Source: 3news

The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has assured applicants participating in its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise that the document validation process is still underway and that medically fit candidates who have not yet been invited remain under active consideration.

The clarification follows growing concerns among applicants who successfully completed the mandatory medical examination but are yet to receive invitations for the validation stage of the recruitment process.

In a statement, the Police Service explained that the validation exercise is being conducted in phases to ensure an orderly, transparent, and efficient recruitment process. As a result, invitations are being sent to successful applicants in batches across the country.

According to the Service, applicants who have passed the medical examination but are still awaiting notification should not panic, as they have not been disqualified from the recruitment exercise.

The Police Service emphasized that all medically fit applicants remain in the recruitment pool and will be contacted for document validation in subsequent batches. The assurance is intended to calm anxiety among candidates who feared they had been overlooked after completing the medical screening.

Authorities urged applicants to remain patient and avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media or other unofficial platforms. Instead, candidates are encouraged to monitor official communication channels for updates regarding their validation schedules and other recruitment-related announcements.

The ongoing recruitment exercise forms part of efforts by the Ghana Police Service to strengthen its workforce by recruiting qualified personnel through a transparent and merit-based process. The phased validation exercise allows officials to verify the credentials and documents of successful applicants before the next stage of recruitment.

Applicants are also reminded to prepare all required original documents ahead of their scheduled validation appointments to avoid unnecessary delays during the verification process.

The Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a fair, credible, and transparent recruitment exercise, assuring all qualified applicants that every medically cleared candidate will be given due consideration as the process progresses.

As the recruitment exercise continues, prospective recruits are advised to stay informed through official Ghana Police Service communication channels and disregard rumours or unofficial announcements concerning the recruitment process.
