Asiedu Nketia Urges NDC Members to Remain Calm, Assures Opportunities for All Under Mahama Government

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has appealed to members of the party to remain calm and united as the new Mahama administration begins its governance.

Speaking on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in the Asuogyaman Constituency during the NDC’s three-day “Thank You Tour” following the party’s election victory, Mr. Asiedu Nketia assured branch and constituency executives, ward coordinators, former officials, cadres, and Assembly members that the administration is committed to creating opportunities for all loyal party members.

Addressing concerns from supporters who have not yet been appointed to government positions, the NDC Chairman emphasized patience and trust in the leadership.

“We are working to ensure that every committed member of the NDC gets the opportunity to serve. This government will open doors for all,” he said.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia also cautioned against internal divisions within the NDC, drawing lessons from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“If we misuse the positions we have, our party risks division like what is happening in the NPP. But I know that will never happen,” he stressed.

He added that the NPP’s current internal battles among flagbearer aspirants are weakening the party, noting that their public criticisms only highlight faults and disunity.

The NDC Chairman urged members to focus on strengthening the party’s unity and supporting President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of inclusive governance and national development.
