Fumbisi Senior High Agric School Hosts Thrilling 32nd Inter-House Athletics Sports Competition

Fumbisi Senior High Agric School recently hosted its 32nd inter-house sports competition from Thursday, July 23rd, to Saturday, July 26th, 2025. The event was filled with excitement, fun, and competitiveness as athletes from various houses showcased their skills and talents.

“I wish all athletes and the various houses the best of luck and may you have a fruitful event.”

In his opening remarks, the headmaster, Mr. Michael Adaabiim, expressed his gratitude to the Physical Education (PE) department for their hard work and dedication. He wished all the athletes and students well, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.

The sports prefect and PE teacher, representing the school athletes and officiating officials, respectfully pledged to abide by the rules and regulations governing the competition, setting a good example for the athletes. Throughout the event, the athletes gave their best, demonstrating their commitment to excellence.

At the closing ceremony, the headmaster, Mr. Adaabiim, commended the athletes for their outstanding performance and thanked everyone present for their support.

“I’m grateful to the athletes for their wonderful performance and readiness to represent the school. I also want to express my gratitude for maintaining peace throughout the event and to everyone present here.”

He made a passionate appeal to the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and invited guests to provide football kits for the school.

The district director for education in Builsa South, Mr. Akumyemi Richard, who was present at the closing ceremony, pledged to support the school’s efforts in maintaining discipline.

“I’m ever ready to support the school to ensure there’s discipline in the school.”

The occasion was graced by representatives from various departments in the district and PE teachers from other schools outside the district.

The final standings were: 1. Azantilow House (1st). 2. Kofi Annan House (2nd). 3. Limann House (3rd). 4. Rawlings House (4th). 5. Mahama House (5th). Athletics play a vital role in the development of students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline. Participating in sports competitions like the inter-house games helps students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and learn to work towards a common goal. These skills are essential for success in academics and beyond.
