Sarkodie Explains Why ‘Jamz’ and ‘No Pressure’ Albums Temporarily Disappeared From Streaming Platforms

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has clarified why his popular albums, Jamz and No Pressure, recently disappeared from major digital streaming platforms, sparking concern and speculation among fans.

In an Instagram Live session on September 1, 2025, Sarkodie explained that the temporary removal of the albums was due to a transition to a new music distribution partner. Contrary to rumors that he had sold his music catalog, the rapper assured fans that the situation was only a technical issue.

“We are doing a re-upload with a new distribution channel. We have a new partnership… but it was supposed to be smooth. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen as planned,” Sarkodie said.

He added that the albums had to be taken down in order to be re-uploaded under the new distribution system. According to him, the music was expected to be restored quickly, possibly within hours of his live update.

“It’s a transition from one distribution channel to another. It was supposed to be seamless, but the process is very tough. That’s why the albums went down,” he explained.

Sarkodie assured fans that Jamz and No Pressure would soon return to all streaming platforms and encouraged them to remain patient while the technical issues are resolved.

The award-winning rapper’s clarification comes after days of online debate, with fans speculating about the sudden disappearance of his music. His explanation now confirms that the albums are being repositioned for smoother global distribution.
